Anti-Blackness and Fatphobia Workshop with MaryAnn Salinas-Vega

The workshop will be facilitated by MaryAnn Salinas-Vega, a scholar-activist determined to reveal how anti-blackness and colonialism is foundational to social inequality in all forms. They are passionate about making a better world made through education, empathy, and change. For the first hour, MaryAnn will present their scholarship through a slideshow presentation that will heavily involve audience members and their respective personal experiences with anti-blackness and fatphobia. The remaining 30 minutes will be dedicated to student performances.
