Graduate Assistant to Present At Two Conferences this Semester

MAIS student David Corwin will be presenting research at two conferences this year.  Along with being a graduate student, David is also the Graduate Assistant for Women and Gender Studies and LGBTQ Resources.   He will present “Queering Spira: Gender, Power, and Defeat in Final Fantasy X” at the Southwest Popular Culture and American Culture conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico from February 11th-14th.  He will also be presenting “Why Marry?: Women, Marriage, and Social Status in Japan” at the Global Discourses on Women Conference at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfeesboro, Tennessee from March 26th-28th.  David completed all of the research for his presentations in his Women and Gender Studies courses here at George Mason in our Women and Global Issues and Transnational Sexualities .​​ Join us in congratulating David!
