Wolf Wins CHSS Distiniguished Alumn Award

MAIS Alumna Karen Wolf won the CHSS Distinguished Alumn award this year. Karen L. Wolf graduated from the MAIS program with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies in 2010. She won the Outstanding Thesis award for her academic work. She currently works as a web developer for Mason’s University Life division. Prior to her time at Mason, she graduated from the College of William and Mary with degrees in Women’s Studies and Computer Science, and worked for the Feminist Majority Foundation. She is a strong advocate for people with marginalized identities. Wolf serves as a trainer for the university’s Safe Zone Program, and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Education’s Creating Community models. Wolf also volunteers with the Fairfax LGBTQ Youth Group, FLY. In October 2013, she won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Mason Staff Members.
