You Asked. We Heard: Spring 2014 Changes in WGST Center

As the fall semester comes to an end, the staff of the Women and Gender Studies Center is proud of the progress that has been made throughout the semester. We would like to take the opportunity to share the exciting changes that will take place in our office in the Spring. We always are seeking ways to ensure that our students have access to the resources they need for success in their academic journeys and holistic campus experience.

Beginning in January, the center will have a study room available for reservation. Undergraduate students will be able to reserve the room for up to an hour and graduate students will be able to reserve the room for up to two hours. Reservation will take place during regular business hours. We feel that this addition is necessary due to the high volume of students who now come into the center on a daily basis that require a quieter environment to do their work.

Another addition that we will be making to the center will be extended hours. Previously, the center extended its hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Beginning in January, the center will be open until 7:00 PM Monday-Thursday and close at 5:00 on Fridays. The center will be available for meeting spaces, printing, relaxing, and for general information purposes during this time as well. If you would like to reserve a room please click here or stop by the office to sign up for a reservation. Also, don’t forget that we still make buttons for offices and student events or clubs!
