WGST has a New Year’s resolution. As the world is abuzz with news we can barely keep up with, Women and Gender Studies still wants to give it the best try we possibly can. In an effort to hit the ground running this semester, we have reenergized and added to our web presence not only through our College of Humanities and Social Sciences Department (CHSS) website, but also through Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. We plan on interlinking all the sites to each other in order to increase visibility on as well as off campus.
Our CHSS site will continue to contain academic information for our current, incoming and prospective students. As a social bonus to us all, the Tumblr page's purpose will be tailored to give a diverse perspective on all things related to Women and Gender Studies. The Twitter for WGST will be utilized for frequent updates of what’s going on within the center in case you want to drop by. Last, but not least, our Facebook page will continue to focus predominantly on the events that we will be hosting, co-sponsoring, or affiliated with. Did we forget to mention we also have Instagram?!
As we become more technologically advanced and web accessible with our social media, we would love for students, faculty, staff, and friends to join in. Dialogue with us, ask us questions, contribute your suggestions or simply use us for a daily informational outlet on issues relative to Women and Gender Studies along with all the intersections that accompany such issues.
