Applications are open for the 2023 Suzanne Scott Constantine Award for Excellence

Suzanne Scott Constantine Award for Excellence

The Suzanne Scott Constantine Award for Excellence was established in 2018 to provide scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students whose work in gender, race, and social justice intersects with the visual and/or performing arts. The award recognizes the outstanding contribution of a student to further racial and gender equity through the arts in the following programs: Women and Gender Studies (undergrad majors, minors, and grad certificate students); LGBTQ Studies (minors) and Social Justice and Human Rights (undergrad major and minors). Recipients may be full-time or part-time, in-state or out-of-state. This scholarship is renewable.

The work of Suzanne Scott Constantine, a former director of Women and Gender Studies and professor in the School of Integrative Studies, inspired students to embrace their creativity, aspire to academic excellence, and work toward radical compassion. The ideal award recipient will embody that vision of combining intellectual rigor with artistic experimentation and courage.

Deadline is March 20th! Applications are accepted through Academic Works
