Rachel Lewis, Associate Professor of Women and Gender Studies, named as the new director of graduate programs, starting Fall 2017. She will be the head of the MAIS concentration in Women and Gender Studies and will oversee the declaration and capstone process of the graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
Rachel's research and teaching interests are in the areas of transnational feminisms, queer theory, sexuality, race and immigration, human rights, disability studies, and popular culture. She has published articles in Feminist Formations, Sexualities, International Feminist Journal of Politics, Social Justice, Journal of Lesbian Studies, and Women and Music: A Journal of Gender and Culture.
