April 17-21, 2017 was NonProfit Career Week at Mason. Career Services and Women and Gender Studies collaborated to organize a panel entitled; Women Leaders in the NonProfit World to learn more about the life experiences of local women leaders of nonprofit organizations. We would like to thank our wonderful panelists which included:

Holly Kearl, founder of the nonprofit organization Stop Street Harassment. Stop Street Harassment (SSH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting and ending gender-based street harassment worldwide. It started as a blog in 2008 and became incorporated as a 501(c)3 in 2012.  www.stopstreetharassment.org/


Sookyung Oh, DC Area Director of the National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC). NAKASEC is a grassroots organization founded in 1994 by local community centers to project a progressive voice and promote the full participation of Korean and Asian Americans within the social justice movement.

Terri Stagi, president of Women Giving Back (WGB). Women Giving Back's is to support women and children in crisis, and build their confidence and self-esteem, by providing great quality clothing at no cost, assisted by caring and committed volunteers who offer personalized service and interaction.
