Ray LeBlanc received a BA in Anthropology and Women's & Gender Studies and an MA in Anthropology with a minor in Women's & Gender Studies from Louisiana State University. Their master's thesis focused on the construction, performance and meanings of drag queening men's bodies, drawing on autoethnographic techniques for reflexive insight into the corporeal processes and techniques of drag performers. LeBlanc's past research considered the positionality of researchers and their consultants and the identity discourses of Facebook. They have taught in Women and Gender Studies and currently work as Accreditation Manager in the Office of Academic Affairs at Howard University School of Business.
