SPAN309 is an integrated content-based approach to the study of Spanish, designed to promote oral and written abilities, as well as critical understanding of Latin American, Latin@, and/or Spanish histories and cultures. Course components include: vocabulary-building activities, grammar review and practice, assigned readings and film viewings in a variety of genres, critical cultural analysis, in-class discussions, debates and other oral activities based on the assigned material, written essays, and oral presentations as well as an oral exam. This 6-credit course will be conducted in Spanish.

Recommended Prerequisite: SPAN 202, SPAN 212, or SPAN 215, or permission of instructor.
