Fulfills a History of Philosophy requirement for the Philosophy major/minor and the minor in Philosophy and Law.

In this course, we will be studying the great philosophers of the early modern period, running from 1641 to 1785. Particular attention will be given to Descartes, Hume, and Kant. The central issues we will be discussing include skepticism and knowledge, the foundations of modern science, and the mind/body problem.
