Take Back the Night


Take Back the Night is an annual gathering held during Turn Off the Violence Week in support of the end of sexual and domestic violence and symbolizing a safe place for all. The event is an internationally held march to celebrate survivors of sexual assault domestic violence and understand the impact that rape, other sexual assaults, and dating/partner violence have on our own community and around the world.

On Tuesday October 8th, 2013 George Mason University will hold the 23rd annual Take Back the Night rally. Cosponsors of Take Back the Night included Women and Gender Studies Center, Wellness, Alcohol,Violence Education and Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Involvement, the Office of Housing and Residence Life, and the Feminist Student Organization.
