Gender Conference Keynote Speaker Writes on Rwanda

Karen Sherman, our keynote speaker for the Gender Research Conference in May, published an article on post-genocide women in Rwanda. During the conference, Sherman spoke on her work on this topic. Karen Sherman is a global consultant with a focus on women’s economic development. She serves as the Board Chair of FAIR Girls and on the Board of Trustees of Mary Baldwin College. Sherman holds a Masters Degree in Russian and East European Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelors Degree from University of Oregon.
